How do I learn the Creighton Model System?
Learning the Creighton Model System requires attending an Introductory Session and a series of individual follow-up teaching sessions. These teaching session are conducted by a trained FertilityCare™ Practitioner or FertilityCare™ Practitioner Intern. These teachers are trained in a 13-month Allied Health Education Program which is designed to help them meet the client’s needs.
Attend an Introductory Session
Beginning our program starts with attending an Introductory Session. The Introductory Session is specifically designed to introduce you to be users of the system. Check out our schedule and then sign up for an introductory session that best meets your needs. The introductory slide presentation lasts approximately one hour.
Purchase materials and sign up for individual follow-up sessions
After the Introductory Session, you are given the opportunity to purchase materials and sign up for individual follow-up sessions. Most often, people choose the FertilityCare Practitioner (FCP) that conducted their Introductory session as their FCP for individual sessions. If you wish to choose a different practitioner, you will be given that option when you purchase materials.
You will then schedule your first individual follow-up. Each individual session lasts about 45-60 minutes. The standard schedule includes eight follow-up sessions over the course of one years time. Follow-up sessions are recommended on the following basic schedule:
First Follow-up.........................2 weeks after intro.
Second Follow-up..................4 weeks after intro.
Third Follow-up.......................6 weeks after intro.
Fourth Follow-up....................8 weeks after intro.
Fifth Follow-up........................3 months after intro.
Sixth Follow-up.......................6 months after intro.
Seventh Follow-up................9 months after intro.
Eighth Follow-up....................12 months after intro.
Subsequent follow-ups are recommended every six to twelve months as needed. This schedule can be individually adjusted to meet your needs.
